Board Care & FAQs

A few simple habits keep your hardwood cutting board ready for everyday cooking, serving, and gathering.

Three habits for a well-loved board

  1. Wash by hand. Use mild soap and warm water after use. Never soak your board or put it in a dishwasher.
  2. Dry right away. Towel dry, then let the board air-dry with air reaching both sides. Keep it away from direct heat.
  3. Oil when the wood looks dry. Apply food-grade mineral oil or a conditioner intended for wooden cutting boards to a clean, dry surface. Follow the conditioner instructions and wipe away excess.
